  • Wear a scrotal support or jockey shorts for one (1) week.

  • Apply ice packs to the scrotum tonight until bedtime: get in
    a warm tub for 20 minutes at least twice daily for one week.

  • Intercourse may be resumed after 72 hours or when comfortable.

  • It takes at least 10 ejaculations to get rid of all old sperm;
    sperm can remain in the semen for three to six months following
    surgery. You will need to bring a semen sample to the
    appropriate laboratory after 10 ejaculations for analysis. Two
    (2) completely sterile specimens are necessary before
    contraception-free intercourse is "safe".
